Round Table – Patch 2.0.1

Show notes originally posted by Nevik

Patch 2.0.1 dropped sooner than many of us expected and with it came a lot of changes to the game. Has it changed the game for the better? And how does it feel without the final pieces of the puzzle coming in Reaper of Souls? We gathered a group of voices from the Shattered Soulstone community to find out their impressions of the patch so far.

Joining us for this round table was 9pad (@9PadGaming), Cyberwolf (@Cybrwolf0), Dr. J Dredscythe (@grindexp), Jaime (@JCMonkeyD3), Jesse (@HomeTownHero008), Scanline (@scanline75), and our very own Breja (@The_Breja).

If you couldn’t make it to our Patch 2.0.1 community round table fret not, there will be more round tables in the future. You can count on another round table happening shortly after Reaper of Soul launches. So go download Mumble to join in on the fun with us.

Round Table – Patch 1.0.8, Basically

Show notes originally posted by Nevik

Listen on as we discuss the major nuances of Patch 1.0.8, our excitement for as well as the potential downsides of the monster density change, whether the social feature improvements are enough, what we feel is missing from the patch, and how basic everything basically is, basically.

Joining us for this round table was 9pad (@9PadGaming), Dave Dienforce Adams (@Dienforce) from the now defunct Diablo Off the Record and Dungeon Crawler podcasts, Jaime (@JCMonkeyD3), Jesse aka Saintly Demon (@HomeTownHero008), Mach1, Overtime, Scanline (@scanline75), and Torrack (@Daladria).

If you couldn’t make it to our Patch 1.0.8 community round table fret not, there will be more round tables in the future. You can expect a round table for each substantial patch as Diablo 3 matures into the game we all want it to be. So go download Mumble to join in on the fun with us.

Quick Note: You’ll notice at times the audio during the round table community isn’t quite all … that great. Somehow Nevik’s recording levels didn’t mesh well with Mumble. It’s still quite listenable, but hopefully next time it will be a lot better.

Upcoming 1.0.8 Community Round Table

Show notes originally posted by Nevik

With our last community round table covering patch 1.0.7 being such a success we knew there would be more round tables in the future. That being said, the time has come for us to host another community round table to discuss the juicy patch 1.0.8 tidbits with you, our lovely listeners.

So, how do you, the listener, participate?

As with our previous patch 1.0.7 round table we will be holding our upcoming round table on Mumble, so make sure you have Mumble installed on your computer and go through the audio setup wizard if you haven’t already done so. (The wizard is pretty easy to follow and shouldn’t take more than a couple of minutes to complete).

Next step is to check out the Patch 1.0.8 PTR Patch Notes and mayhaps install the PTR client so that you can get first hand experience with the changes coming in patch 1.0.8. Don’t worry if you don’t have time to download the PTR client nor time to spend testing it out, we always love hearing from multiple perspectives and value the thoughts of those on the “outside-looking-in”.

Note: If you still have the Patch 1.0.7 PTR client installed on your computer, open the launcher and the client should update to 1.0.8 (or at least in theory).

So when will we be holding this Patch 1.0.8 Round Table?

Friday, April 26th at 6 PM Pacific / 9 PM Eastern

Make sure you clear your calendars on Friday, April 26th at 6pm Pacific / 9pm Eastern. More than likely we won’t start EXACTLY at this time as some “pre-show” will definitely occur to loosen everyone up.

Hope to “see” you there!

Dead and Waiting #3

Show notes originally posted by Nevik

The proverbial hardcore ball continues to roll with our third installment of our Dead and Waiting series. Lanntonio is joined once again by many of the same voices from our community and at least one new one. Who? Well, let’s just say that he’s a HUGE fan of Neil Diamond. HUGE FAN.

Once again this episode is light on the game-talk and heavy on discussing the trials and tribulations of playing hardcore. At some point we will be hosting a more in-game focused hardcore gaming night with a special rule-set so stay tuned!

If you would like to join in on the fun – and we hope you do! – Lanntonio is running these hardcore gaming nights generally every Tuesday night around 6pm Pacific / 8pm Central / 9pm Eastern. All you need to do to join in is have Mumble installed and setup and hop on our mumble server (details can be found in the sidebar).
